Confessions.

My first confession post!
I have to admit, these were kind of hard to think of!

Here we go...

-When I eat the 100 calorie pack of Wholly Guacamole, I lick the wrapper clean when I'm done with it.

-Little does my boss know, but I try to arrive early to work throughout the week so that I can leave early on Friday.

-I am really grumpy if you wake me up in the middle of sleeping. Cameron calls me a bear.

-My favorite movie is Major Payne. My sister even quoted a line from the movie in her Maid of Honor speech.
"Don't push the maybes, baby."

-When I work my events at night and have down time, I watch reality tv shows on Hulu. My current guilty (and embarrassing) pleasure is the show Mob Wives. Those bitches be crazy.

Sorry if they were lame, I'll try to think of better ones next time. :)

Cameron's Birthday Dinner at Husk.

Our dinner at Husk for Cameron's birthday was one for the books! All of the food was delicious and we were treated like royalty.

First, let's talk about my dress! I originally ordered it to wear to my friend, Kristen's, wedding in September, but there was no way I could let it sit unworn in my closet until then. This was the perfect occasion to break it out.

It's from Fiore Boutique and I'm obsessed.
(You'll probably recognize Caitlin on their website!)

PS- How do you take a picture of the back of your dress without looking awkward?

Now on to dinner...

We arrived half an hour before our reservation and went to Husk's bar next door. Cameron ordered a bourbon on the rocks and I ordered a "frou frou" bourbon drink..which I can't find on their website, but it was a peach flavored bourbon with other accompaniments. :)

When we arrived to our table for dinner, we were handed this menu!
I made this reservation so long ago, I had forgotten that I even told them it was his birthday.
Points for me!

Also when we sat down, we were handed two glasses of champagne!
So this is what it feels like to be a celeb? I'll take it!

As an appetizer, we ordered "Dave’s Clams with Fried Chicken Skins, Red Pepper-Spring Garlic Broth, Fennel and Wilted Arugula, Sunny Side Up Egg"
As assumed, the crispy chicken skins were the best part.

We also ordered the "Kurios Bibb with Heirloom Tomatoes, Screened Egg, Milk Ricotta, Shaved Radish and Onion, Buttermilk" salad, but I start digging in before I could get a picture.

For dinner, I ordered the "TX Wagyu Sirloin, Nicola Potatoes, Sweet Onion and Garlic Soubise, Ember Roasted Mushrooms, KY Worcestershire"

And Cameron ordered one of the special's that night...a 30oz ribeye! For the record, neither one of us heard the "30oz" part of the description..and I'd say only about 10-12oz of it was actually edible after you got rid of the bone and fat.

He even got to pick out his own fancy steak knife!

And a side of "Baked Geechie Boy Grits with SC Mushrooms and Sweetwater Valley Cheddar"
Holy moly those were good.

Hope you enjoyed dinner, Cameron!
Also hope you enjoy eating pb&j's until next pay day!
Kidding....kind of...

Baker Wedding: The Send Off!

Sigh...the last of the wedding re-cap posts.

When I first stumbled across this picture on Pinterest, I knew immediately what we were going to do for our send off. Since Cameron and I don't agree on football teams, we split the colors, ordering half garnet and half orange.

I found them cheapest at Oriental Trading and waited for a sale to come along also.
We passed them out during one of the last songs and as you could expect between two rival teams, it got a leeeeeetle rowdy.
The Clemson fans started doing their little chant and all the Carolina fans would have to do is stick out their hand with 4 fingers held up (as seen below). For those of you who don't follow college football, we've beat Clemson 4 years in a row. I'm not getting cocky (no pun intended), I know that streak could easily be ended.....but hopefully not. :)
That's my Dad's best friend, Franco, tossing out the pom poms and Cameron and Ted on the mic doing their little Clemson chant.
And this would be my Uncle Jay.
My Dad wanted to test out the send off line. His moment of glory if you will.
And then it was our turn!

We left in style on Cameron's family's sportfisher, The Major Motion!
So fun! One of my favorite parts of the wedding.
Cameron's cousin, who drives the boat, backed it up so that we could say bye one last time to our family and friends.
And then we had a mini photo shoot on the boat.

We also had some stalkers, I mean, friends who came to the wedding by boat.
Then we sat down for the first time in probably 8 hours and chilled as hubby and wife!

Got dropped off at the Wappoo boat ramp and were picked up by Compass Transportation. Highly recommend them if you are looking for any kind of transportation!
Then, we were taken to our hotel room at The Francis Marion, where we were upgraded to the penthouse level and stayed in one of the Harbor View Suites! Score!

Thank you to each and every one of you who left sweet comments regarding our wedding. I had so much fun looking back at the pictures, re-living that amazing night.
If you are planning a wedding and have any questions, please feel free to ask!
